New Jersey?s Vince Carter and Golden State?s Baron Davis today were named the Eastern Conference and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played Monday, April 4 through Sunday, April 10.

Carter led the Nets to a 3-0 week with 34.7 points (up 10.8 points from season average) on 54.5% shooting, 5.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 2.3 steals.  On April 9, in a 99-86 home win over Boston, Carter scored a season-high 45 points and tied his season-high and a Nets franchise record with seven three-pointers in one game.  

Davis led the Warriors to a 3-1 week, averaging 28.8 points on 39.1% shooting, 12.0 assists, 6.3 rebounds and 2.5 steals.  In an April 5, 122-117 win over Houston, Davis scored a career-high 40 points and also recorded 13 rebounds, the first time since 1997 a Warrior had a 40 point and 10 assist game.  Since joining the team on February 24, the Warriors are 15-7 and 11-3 in Davis? starts.
