Lakers swingman Laron Profit apparently ruptured his left Achilles' tendon in the fourth quarter of a 112-90 victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday night.
Lakers spokesman John Black said Profit would be examined Wednesday. Profit scored eight points in 15 minutes before being injured.
Profit was acquired by the Lakers from Washington during the offseason with Kwame Brown for Caron Butler and Chucky Atkins. The 28-year-old Profit has played in all 25 games for the Lakers this season and is averaging 4.2 points.
