Suns guard Leandro Barbosa underwent surgery on his left elbow on Monday after playing through an injury for the final six weeks of the season.
The rehabilitation time on the injury could be as long as two months and may affect Barbosa?s ability to play for Brazil in the FIBA Americas Championship Aug. 22 ? Sept. 2 in Las Vegas.
Barbosa?s agent, Merle Scott, confirmed the surgery and termed it as ?nothing major.? Scott said his client was still hopeful that he would recover in time to play.
