Scott Brooks has emerged as another coaching candidate for the Seattle SuperSonics, interviewing with Sonics general manager Sam Presti on June 15.

Brooks, an assistant coach for the Sacramento Kings last season, joins P.J. Carlesimo, Dwane Casey and Rick Carlisle as candidates to replace Bob Hill, according to a story in Friday?s editions of the Sacramento Bee.

It now appears, however, that the naming of a coach will not take place until after Thursday?s draft.

Brooks, Carlesimo, Casey and possibly Carlisle ? though the latter could not be confirmed ? had a first round of interviews with Presti in the past week. Owner Clay Bennett was not involved in those talks, sources say. A league source said Carlesimo?s interview took place in Portland, though it could not be determined why.
