Panionios have announced the signing of Australian swingman Brad Newley, who was a second round pick of the Houston Rockets in the 2007 NBA Draft.
Newley, one of the rising stars of Australian basketball, will be playing overseas for the first time. He arrives from the Townsville Crocodiles of the Australian NBL, where he averaged 22.4 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 33 games last season.
