Los Angeles Lakers forward Kwame Brown was charged with disorderly conduct and interference with a law enforcement officer after an incident at 2 a.m. ET last Saturday, according to multiple media reports.

Brown was the passenger in a car driven by a 23-year-old Charles Edward Warren. He was detained because officers said he was out of control after they pulled over Warren for driving the wrong way on a one-way street. Police said Warren was driving drunk and with a suspended license.

"[Brown] would have been interfering with the investigation the officer was trying to conduct at that time," said Lt. Bobbi McGraw of the Valdosta Police.
