The Grizzlies and Trail Blazers have held ongoing discussions about a trade that would essentially swap Mike Conley for Travis Outlaw, reported Yahoo over the weekend.

Those discussions, which began during the summer, continued through the first week of the season and have been dead for the past month, according to Ronald Tillery of the Commercial Appeal.

At one point, Memphis was willing to include Hakim Warrick and asked for Steve Blake, but the Blazers countered with Sergio Rodriguez, who is not a fit in the eyes of the Grizzlies' front office.

A team source said the Grizzlies don't have any trade talks ongoing at this point. The source predicted that the roster would remain the same for a while, and didn't anticipate any substantive talks before Feb. 1.
