Pacers forward Danny Granger planned to play against the Hawks on Friday night, but his return was pushed back because of continued soreness in his right foot.

"It's definitely still sore," he said before Friday's loss to Atlanta. "I have to be able to do everything I normally can on the court. Otherwise we're going to keep going backwards. We need to get to the point where I'm playing and it's getting better and better. I think that's the main issue."

Granger has now missed 11 games with the injury. He practiced with the team on Thursday, but woke up with some soreness on Friday.

"He's not even close to being 100 percent," Pacers coach Jim O'Brien said. "If he was close to being 100 percent he would have played. He had a good practice (Thursday) and he's a little tender after going hard for the first time. We'll just have to keep going until he can practice and wake up and not feel as sore as he did (Friday)."
