New Jersey Nets guard Keyon Dooling underwent successful arthroscopic hip surgery on Monday, May 4 which involved the removal of loose bodies from his right hip.  

The surgery was performed by Dr. Brian Kelly and assisted by Nets' team orthopedist Dr. Riley Williams at the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan. Dooling will begin rehabilitation in several days, and is expected to be ready for the beginning of the 2009-10 NBA season.

The ninth-year guard played in 77 games in his first season with New Jersey in 2008-09, averaging career-highs of 9.7 points, 2.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game.
