Nuggets guard J.R. Smith is still bothered by a strained right calf, but has attempted to pain through the pain.

Smith played a little less than 25 minutes in Thursday night's Game 2 win against the Lakers, and had just 6 points on 1-for-6 shooting.

"It was just one of those things that I wasn't making shots," he said. "I wasn't really contributing, so I tried something else."

Smith is hoping another day of rest, on Friday, will help the strain heal.

"I'm still going to do a lot of rehab and all that," Smith said. "But overall I feel good."
