Desmond Mason will not re-sign with the Oklahoma City Thunder for the 2009-10 season.
Mason's agent, Roger Montgomery, confirmed that talks between his client and the club had broken down.
"Desmond is not ready to be relegated to a cheerleader and relegated to a mentor for the younger players," Montgomery said. "Desmond's got a lot left in the tank."
