Blazers star Brandon Roy says that he feels great entering the season.

"My body feels good," Roy told the Portland Tribune. "It's the best it's felt coming into a (NBA) season. I'm really excited."

Roy received a contract extension in the neighborhood of $77 million to $83 million over five years this summer.

He admitted that he never felt 100 percent last season coming off knee surgery, but averaged 22.6 points, 5.1 assists and 4.7 rebounds.

"Once the season starts, the adrenaline kicks in and I don't think about the body anymore," added Roy. "Then it's, 'Give me some ice, and when's the next game?' "
