Kings guard Kevin Martin is scheduled to have an X-ray on his surgically-repaired left wrist on Friday.

Martin had surgery to repair a hairline fracture in the wrist on Nov. 9 and he is still at least three weeks away from his return.

He missed a combined 52 games over the last two seasons, but this time around he's keeping himself involved with the team.

"Last year when I got hurt, I wasn't really around that much, and when I came back it was like a new player got drafted," said Martin. "This time, I'm trying to stay involved with the team, helping during the game, helping guys. I've been trying to talk to (rookie guard) Tyreke (Evans), telling him things. I'm telling Spencer (Hawes), when he gets an offensive rebound down low, don't look to pass out, go back up with it."

Sacramento should have a better idea of Martin's exact return date following Friday's X-ray.
