Lakers center Andrew Bynum participated in a full practice on Friday for the first time since straining his left Achilles on March 19.

He missed the final 13 games of the regular season with the injury.

"I felt very good," Bynum said. "Really, no pain. It went good."

The Lakers will begin their title defense on Sunday against the Thunder.

"We're very pleased. He's certainly not in any space where he feels like he's back, I'm sure, but we're pleased he was able to run and play and participate," coach Phil Jackson said.
