Portland guard Brandon Roy made a surprise return on Saturday a little more than a week after knee surgery.

The Trail Blazers defeated the Suns 96-87 in Game 4 with help from Roy, who scored 10 points in 27 minutes.

"I thought he lifted us tonight, and we needed that lift," coach Nate McMillan said. "The last two games we have been just flat, and I just got chills when he got up and the crowd saw he was going up to the scorer's table. I know our players fed off that, the emotions and energy in the building of having him back."

The series is tied at two games apiece as Game 5 heads to Phoenix.
