In his press conference before Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals, Phoenix head coach Alvin Gentry was asked to talk about his team's chances against the Lakers. The Lakers have been widely considered to be heavy favorites by most of the media.
"If I'm a media guy, I guess I'd have to pick the Lakers," said Gentry.
Gentry did sound confident, however, in his team's ability to compete against the Lakers.
"We'll have an opportunity to win (the series) if we play at a high level," Gentry added.
Gentry is in his first full season with the Suns.
