Greg Oden will not sign a extension with the Blazers ahead of the Nov. 1 deadline, his agent has confirmed.
That means Oden will become a restricted free agent this summer.
The development isn't exactly a surprise as Oden, the first pick in the 2007 NBA Draft, has played in just 82 games over his first three seasons due to injury.
"There's too much that he needs to do," agent Bill Duffy said of Oden, who still has yet to be cleared to play after suffering a serious knee injury last December.
