The Indiana Pacers (25-30) used a 27-point edge over the second and third quarter to soundly defeat the Washington Wizards (15-40) on Tuesday night. Danny Granger led with 21 points and 10 rebounds, Darren Collison posted 11 points, six assists and five boards and Roy Hibbert added 16 points and six rebounds. Indiana forced 19 turnovers and attempted 19 more foul shots, while attempting five fewer field goals than Washington. Andray Blatche had 21 points, five rebounds and five assists, John Wall tallied 15 points, 10 dimes and eight boards and Josh Howard contributed 14 points and five rebounds.

The Charlotte Bobcats (25-32) kicked off the second half of the season with a home win over the Toronto Raptors (15-42). D.J. Augustin starred with 23 points and eight assists, Nazr Mohammed tallied eight points and 14 rebounds and Gerald Wallace put up 20 points and six boards. Toronto shot 50% from the field, but sent Charlotte to the free line for 42 attempts. Sonny Weems scored a team-high 19 points on 9-for-13 shooting, Andrea Bargnani posted 18 points and eight rebounds and Jose Calderon helped with six points and 11 assists in the loss.

The Houston Rockets (27-31) pulled away from the Detroit Pistons (21-37) late at the Palace of Auburn Hills in Michigan. Patrick Patterson led with 20 points and five rebounds in perhaps the best game of his young career, Luis Scola posted eight points and nine boards and Kevin Martin scored 16 points on 4-for-12 shooting. Houston had a +7 rebounding differential, while Detroit committed just eight turnovers. Will Bynum had 21 points and six assists, Greg Monroe tallied 12 points and 12 rebounds and Rodney Stuckey recorded 19 points on 7-for-15 shooting.

Miami made 56.7% of their shots and outrebounded Sacramento by nine. Samuel Dalembert had 18 points and 13 rebounds, Jason Thompson posted 13 points and seven boards and Jermaine Taylor scored 13 points on 5-for-11 shooting in 23 minutes.

Brandon Jennings excelled with 27 points and seven assists, Carlos Delfino posted 13 points and nine rebounds and Jon Brockman grabbed 14 boards in 25 minutes off the bench. Milwaukee. Both teams shot lower than 39% from the floor, but Minnesota committed six more turnovers. Kevin Love starred with 20 points and 17 rebounds, Wesley Johnson tallied 14 points and eight boards and Michael Beasley chipped in 21 points on 10-for-17 shooting in defeat.

Kevin Durant had 21 points and eight rebounds, Russell Westbrook tallied 13 points and seven assists and Jeff Green added 22 points and seven boards. Oklahoma City turned the ball over just six times and had a 7-point edge in the fast break department. Blake Griffin starred with 28 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists, Eric Bledsoe posted 13 points and four boards and Randy Foye contributed 12 points on 5-for-9 shooting at the Ford Center.
