Wooden's Great-Grandson Scores Last Basket At Old Pauley Pavilion

John Wooden’s great-grandson, Tyler Trapani, scored the final men’s basket at old Pauley Pavillion.

Trapani, a walk-on sophomore guard, caught an air-ball and banked it in for the final points of UCLA's stunning 71-49 victory over 10th-ranked Arizona.

"I pray a lot. . . . To have Trapani make that last shot means so much to me, you have no idea," Howland said, pausing to control a sob. "You couldn't have written it any better."

Trapani had taken only two other shots in his entire UCLA career.
