Concerned by the high-volume of three-point shots attempted by the opposition, USC coach Kevin O'Neill switched up his defensive strategy, instructing Trojan defenders to crowd opposing guards and limit their passes inside.

The results have been apparent as USC has limited four of its last six opponents to single-digit assist totals.

"Teams had been getting into their offense kind of easy, and when you pressure the ball it creates more turnovers and gets you into the fastbreak," freshman guard Maurice Jones said.
