Heat coach Erik Spoelstra displayed somewhat of a sarcastic smile when asked Sunday how much of his defensive game plan is designed around stopping Derrick Rose.

"A percentage? It's a large part," Spoelstra said.  "There’s no question about it that he generates a lot of their offense.
"But I think I mentioned this yesterday: he's like trying to contain a tornado. It's unpredictable. The explosiveness, all of that can break down your defense. And then it comes down to your instincts in making multiple efforts."

The Heat did a solid job of containing Rose in Game 2, holding the MVP to 7-of-23 shooting for 21 points. But the last time Rose missed a bunch of layups and struggled miserably from the field, he responded with a career-high 44-point effort in Game 3 of the Atlanta series.
