Progress was made between the players and owners on three key system issues, says a source.
"There was absolutely movement today, enough to come back at it tomorrow," said a source in the talks.
Both the players and owners were overtly optimistic two weeks ago that a deal was within reach and were left disappointed. The union is downplaying the progress being made in order to prevent the players "off the roller-coaster."
