Jeff Hornacek has agreed to become the next head coach of the Phoenix Suns.

Hornacek will sign a three-year deal with the Suns, the team that drafted him in 1986.

Hornacek became a shooting coach with the Utah Jazz in 2007 and moved into an assistant role in 2011 when Tyrone Corbin became head coach.

Hornacek's role with the Jazz was initially limited while his three children were still in the house.

Horancek is the brother-in-law of Suns head athletic trainer Aaron Nelson.
