Wesley Johnson is averaging 9.4 points and 4.1 rebounds in his first season with the Los Angeles Lakers and has found a niche under Mike D'Antoni.
Johnson will be a free agent in the offseason and is adamant he hopes to return to the Lakers.
“I want to come back,” Johnson said. “Hopefully they feel the same way. I’ll have to continue to prove myself and show I can play hard.
“Hopefully it’s a long-term thing. But we’ll have to see what happens with what the front office decides and how they move around things. I would like to be here.”
