Kevin Durant reportedly sent a text to a reporter wanting to be asked a question about a Tweet from Skip Bayless at the podium in order to have the opportunity to respond to it.

Durant would read frequently read Tweets at his locker after games and one during the playoffs from Bayless particularly "irked him," according to the reporting from Royce Young.

Durant's sometimes contentious relationship with the media came from how much attention he paid to their reporting and general narratives.

Durant and Stephen A. Smith also had an issue last fall when the ESPN personality reported his alleged interest in signing with the Lakers.
