The NBA trade market has been slow to develop so far during the 17-18 regular season. There could be movement beginning with the G League Showcase this week.

"It is pretty slow so far," said one general manager. "Nobody seems desperate to get into the playoffs. The tankers are sellers, but asking prices are too high."

DeAndre Jordan could be the biggest name who could potentially be traded before the deadline.

"He's a difference-maker, but I'm not sure anyone thinks he puts you over the top," one GM said.

Teams are more reluctant to give up picks in deals that don't include frontline starters and the 2013 trade between the Celtics and Nets has scared teams off.

"No one wants to end up embarrassed like the Nets were," one Eastern Conference GM said.
