Two sportsbooks posted Virginia as the favorites to repeat as NCAA men's basketball champions next season.

Caesars Palace already had Virginia as 5-1 favorites before the title game. The Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook placed Virginia and Kentucky as co-favorites at 7-1 odds.

"Virginia's only loss to graduation is reserve big man Jack Salt, so they will be stacked again next year if no one leaves for the NBA. You always have to stay conservative with Duke and Kentucky until you know who is leaving and where the unsigned recruits are going. I'd much rather open too low and bump a team when guys leave than open too high and take a sharp bet when they unexpectedly come back to school," said Matt Lindeman, manager of trading at Caesars.
