Dave McMenamin explained one of the reasons why the Los Angeles Lakers moved away from Tyronn Lue as head coach and that it could be a case of miscommunication. McMenamin didn't rule out the possibility of the two sides coming back together to ultimately get a deal done.

"For instance, you hear some things like maybe Ty wasn't so specific with his scouting reports of the young players during the interview process and that's why the Lakers were interested in pairing him with Jason Kidd because I guess Jason Kidd had a player development plan with the younger players," said McMenamin on The Lowe Post.

"You talk to people familiar with Ty's view of these things and it was: 'well, all I got was positive feedback how great things went in the interviews and I didn't have to go to the next step of my presentation which was literally having a three-page scouting report prepared on every single player on the Lakers' roster from last year.

"Ty is the type of guy who has binders."
