Rival teams have been aware of the discontent of both Paul George and Russell Westbrook, sources tell Shams Charania of The Athletic. The Thunder have yet to win a playoff series since the 2016 departure of Kevin Durant.

George requested a trade to the Los Angeles Clippers after he was recruited by Kawhi Leonard.

Westbrook's future with the Thunder is unclear now that they begin what appears to be a rebuild.

Westbrook has four seasons remaining on his current deal at the following numbers:

19-20: $38.51 million
20-21: $41.36 million
21-22: $44.21 million
22-23: $47.06 million

Royce Young of ESPN writes that while the Thunder could evaluate their team centered on Westbrook with their new additions from the Clippers, trading him "appears to be the most likely scenario."
