Adam Silver wants a structural engineer to examine the Thomas & Mack Arena and Cox Pavilion for damage following an earthquake before re-starting Summer League games, league sources told Rod Boone and Kelly Iko of The Athletic.

A 6.9 earthquake in Southern California suspended the Pelicans-Knicks game in the fourth quarter. The game between the Spurs and and the Magic at the Cox Pavilion was also cancelled in the third quarter, as was the late-game between the Suns and the Nuggets.

“Safety comes first, second, third,” said Summer League executive director Warren LeGarie.
