The Memphis Grizzlies recouped $2.6 million of Dwight Howard's $5.6 million guaranteed salary in their buyout agreement.
Howard can earn $2.6 million on his veteran's minimum deal if he remains on the Los Angeles Lakers' roster past early January. Howard will be on a non-guaranteed contract with the Lakers.
The Grizzlies never intended to bring Howard to camp.
