NBA Continuing To Instruct Teams To Not Test Asymptomatic Players

The NBA continues to instruct teams not to test players for COVID-19 if they are asymptomatic.

The NBA is attempting to avoid controversy it saw previously when entire teams were tested despite shortages of testing for the general population.

There is an understanding that testing protocols will change if the NBA opens camps for a formal return to play. The NBA is only expected to resume the season if testing has widespread availability.
