The Basketball Hall of Fame induction ceremony for the class of 2020 will be delayed until the spring of 2021.

The class of 2020 includes Tim Duncan, Kevin Garnett and Kobe Bryant.

Jerry Colangelo, the chairman of the board of governors for the Hall of Fame, said that they will reconvene on June 10th to decide a new date.

"We're definitely canceling. It's going to have to be the first quarter of next year. We'll meet in a couple of weeks and look at the options of how and when and where," said Colangelo.

Colangelo added that the class of 2020 and class of 2021 will have two separate ceremonies.

"We won't be combining them. The Class of 2020 is a very special class and deserves its own celebration."
