The NBA could have a large number of players kneel during the national anthem when the regular season resumes on Thursday, according to a report from Shams Charania.

"Players have been meeting over the last several days in their respective hotels, I'm told, and there's a growing consensus for them to kneel during the national anthem," said Charania. "Just imagine that picture of all the players in the NBA, or a large sum of them, kneeling for the national anthem. It's a powerful message."

Charania reports that players may also wear their own social justice shirts that aren't approved by the NBA during warmups.

There have been a number of NBA players that have increased their participation in political activism following the murder of George Floyd in May.
