The Los Angeles Lakers' Game 4 win over the Houston Rockets last week averaged 2.5 million viewers on TNT despite airing against the NFL Kickoff Game featuring the Kansas City Chiefs and Houston Texans.
The game was the most-watched sporting event opposite the NFL Kickoff Game in a decade since an Auburn-Mississippi State college football game on ESPN in 2010 (2.81 million).
The US Open women’s semifinals on ESPN (1.55M) and the NHL Western Conference Final on NBCSN (790K) also aired Thursday evening.
