The Golden State Warriors and Oklahoma City Thunder are in serious talks on a deal of Kelly Oubre Jr.

The Warriors have a $17.2 million traded player exception they can use to acquire Oubre and his $14.4 million salary. If the Warriors use the TPE to acquire Oubre, their luxury tax bill will increase by $68 million.

The Warriors lost Klay Thompson for the season with a torn Achilles on Thursday.

Oklahoma City acquired Oubre as part of the Chris Paul trade this week. Oubre is signed through the 20-21 season.
