The Dallas Mavericks are in advanced talks to hire Sean Sweeney as an assistant coach on the staff of Jason Kidd.
Sweeney was hired by the Detroit Pistons before the 18-19 season.
Sweeney was previously an assistant coach under Kidd with both the Brooklyn Nets and Milwaukee Bucks.
