Milwaukee Bucks guard Bryn Forbes will decline his player option for the 2021-22 season and will become an unrestricted free agent. Forbes' option was for $2.5 million. He signed with Milwaukee on a two-year deal for part of the Non-Taxpayer Mid-Level exception in the 2021 offseason.

Forbes is coming off the best shooting season of his career. He hit 47.3% overall and 45.2% of his three-pointers. In 19.3 minutes per game off the Bucks bench, Forbes averaged 10 points per game.

After playing in all of Milwaukee's playoff games in the early rounds, Forbes fell out of the Bucks rotation during the NBA Finals. The 28-year-old shooter will look to capitalize on his strong shooting season for a bigger and longer deal than he gave up by declining his option. A return to Milwaukee shouldn't be ruled out, but the Bucks are limited in what they can pay Forbes.
