The Los Angeles Lakers have considered using one of their final roster spots on Isaiah Thomas, sources tell Marc Stein.
Thomas, 32, is attempting to remain in the NBA after a short stint during the 20-21 season with the New Orleans Pelicans.
Thomas was teammates with LeBron James during half of the 17-18 season until he was traded to the Lakers.
The Boston Celtics also have had exploratory discussions with Thomas, but their needs have likely shifted following their decision to sign Dennis Schroder.
