Brittney Griner has been released by Russia in a one-for-one prisoner swap.
The United States secured the return of Griner by freeing arms dealer Viktor Bout. Bout was found guilty of conspiring to sell AK-47s.
Griner was first arrested in February on smuggling charges. Griner was put on trial in July and sentenced to nine years in prison in August.
