Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets have engaged on ongoing conversations on the direction of the franchise following their trade of Kyrie Irving, sources tell Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

The Nets have thus far told teams they don't plan on trading Durant before the deadline.

Durant requested a trade from the Nets last offseason, which the franchise declined to fulfill.

The Phoenix Suns were atop Durant's list offseason and so far the Nets haven't shown a willingness to trade him there or anywhere else.

A number of teams have reached out to the Nets on Durant's potential availability before the trade deadline.
