The possibility of Kyrie Irving joining the Los Angeles Lakers appears unlikely at this point, but that doesn't mean it won't be revisited again in the future.

Irving can sign for significantly more money with the Dallas Mavericks than he could with the Lakers.

"I don't think they've shut the door completely on Kyrie coming to the Lakers at some point," said Zach Lowe on his podcast. "Just because it doesn't happen this summer, if it doesn't happen this summer, doesn't mean it can't ever happen. I don't think that door is closed."

Irving reportedly tried to recruit LeBron James to the Mavericks this offseason.
