The Detroit Pistons are unlikely to sign Killian Hayes to a rookie-scale extension before the October 17 deadline, according to James L. Edwards III of The Athletic.
Hayes, who has one season left on his rookie deal, will be eligible for a $9.9 million qualifying offer next offseason.
The Pistons drafted guard Marcus Sasser and traded for Monte Morris this offseason.
