The Philadelphia 76ers of the 1972-1973 can now rest easy, their record of 9-73, the worst in NBA history is safe for another season after the Hornets defeated the Warriors by a final score of 111-108.

Rodney Rogers scored 20 points, and Bostjan Nachbar hit all five of his 3-point attempts scoring 19 points overall.

``As long as we get this type of contribution from a number of guys we can win some ballgames,'' Hornets coach Byron Scott said. ``Bostjan was terrific offensively and the rook (Smith) is really coming. He made some very heady decisions at the end of the game.''

Cliff Robinson returned to the Warriors line-up from a five-game suspension for violating the NBA's anti-drug policy and scored six points.
