With December 15 quickly approaching, Seattle News Tribune writer asks the question is it time that the Sonics deal guard Ronald 'Flip' Murray.

Now that Seattle SuperSonics guard Ronald ?Flip? Murray has shown the rest of the NBA that he?s still capable of being productive with a nationally televised 24-point outbreak in a 115-108 victory against Cleveland on Friday night, this question could soon be of utmost importance:

Should the Sonics trade him?

First, he turned down a two-year, $4.2 million contract over the summer and will become an unrestricted free agent because he feels he is worth more money, a perception the Sonics do not necessarily share.

In all likelihood, Murray is playing his final season in a Sonics uniform.

Second, he has not shown on a consistent basis that he is capable of running an offense, in part, because the creativity he uses to score is the very attribute that frustrates teammates when the ball is not distributed.

So if Murray is not going to be in Seattle for the foreseeable future, and if he is not really filling the role they need him to fill, wouldn?t it make more sense for the Sonics to attempt to pull off a trade?
