Six NBA coaches have been fired this season, but the Warriors are unlikely to fire Don Nelson despite the team's dismal start.

Golden State signed Nelson to a two-year, $12 million contract extension this October.

"I'm just trying to compete, you know?" said Nelson. "I'm trying to keep a good attitude and positive approach as best we can and try to play the game the right way."

The Warriors are off to their worst start since Mike Montgomery's rookie season.

"We're not going to let (the players) get down. We'll do our crying by ourselves. And when we're around the team, we're as positive as we can be," Nelson added. "We're trying to get better, and I'm sure that we will."
