Warriors executive director of public relations Raymond Ridder acknowledged to the Mercury News on Friday that he was the author of an anonymous comment posted Thursday afternoon to the WarriorsWorld.net fan site that defended Warriors management.

In the comment, signed as ?Flunkster Dude,? Ridder wrote that he appreciated that afternoon?s season-ticket-holder conference call, conducted by GM Larry Riley, team president Robert Rowell and broadcaster Bob Fitzgerald.

?I actually enjoyed the call and appreciate their honesty,? the Flunkster Dude wrote.

Ridder helped setup the call itself.

?It was 100% me. And I?ll take 100% responsibility, if anybody thinks I did anything wrong,? Ridder said. ?It was completely on my own. I?ve never been told to do anything by anybody here. It was just me.

?It was nothing malicious at all. I just wanted to get the conversation going in a positive direction?I thought we had a good conference call, I had some good conversations with some season-ticket-holders, then I got to my office and I looked on the internet and all I saw was negative comments, complaints, nothing positive.

?From my standpoint, I just wanted to get some positive things going. When I saw all the negative comments, I wanted to chime in. That?s all.?

Here is the comment Ridder posted anonymously:

I think we are all so mezmerized by what we read in the paper and take it as gospel. I actually enjoyed the call and appreciate their honesty, even if everything was not what we wanted to hear. I would like to hear from them more often. I have already renewed and are part of the 70%, so I will hope for the best from section 121??

Ridder said he has not commented on any other sites, specifically noting he has never commented anonymously on any media sites and adding that none of his bosses has ever directed to do anything of the sort.
