Suns general manager Steve Kerr met with the agent for forward Amar'e Stoudemire to discuss a contract extension on Wednesday.

Kerr declined to comment on the meeting.

Stoudemire wants a contract extension by June 30, otherwise he'll become an unrestricted free agent on July 1.
