The Nuggets have 23 games left before they will have to make a decision on whether to trade Carmelo Anthony prior to the Feb. 24 trade deadline.

Some within the franchise consider the stretch as a last-ditch effort to convince Anthony to stay in Denver.

"Of course, that's the goal," forward Al Harrington said. "We've just got to play better and start winning games. ... I hope so (that winning could convince Anthony to stay). Until he's gone, he's ours."

Nuggets coach George Karl was asked if he considers this a last-ditch chance to keep Anthony.

"We got to win games," Karl said. "The more we win, the more chance we have in figuring it out."
