Travis Franklin has worked hard to improve at the foul line.

Colorado State's senior forward missed more foul shots than he made last season.

"Last year, I was just praying, hoping, wishing the ball in," Franklin said.

CSU's second-leading scorer at 14.5 points a game, now ranks among the best free-throw shooters in the Mountain West Conference among those with enough attempts to qualify with a 74.6 percent success rate (88 of 118), and he has more attempts than any other player among the top 10.

Franklin said he practiced shooting free throws six days a week in the offseason and wouldn't stop until he had made 10 in a row, no matter how many attempts that required.
